Join Us For A Global Day of Unity – May 5, 2020

giving tuesday now
People can show their generosity in a variety of ways during #GivingTuesdayNow, whether it’s helping a neighbor, advocating for an issue, sharing a skill, or giving to causes, every act of generosity counts.

#GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving and unity that will take place on May 5, 2020 – in addition to the regularly scheduled Dec 1, 2020 #GivingTuesday – as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.

As an organization, one of our top priorities is to prevent and rehabilitate musculoskeletal (MSK) and sport injuries in people of all ages and abilities.

With the help of our funders and supporters, we have been developing and delivering practical, hands-on workshops and educational resources to spread the word on injury prevention and the importance of rehabilitation.

During this challenging time, we want to better support our community by creating virtual experiences and content to reach those isolated due to physical distancing measures, or to reach those without access to health professionals.

While this would provide vital resources for people isolated right now, we want to make supporting those in need the norm, and not just the exception. By building these resources now, we will be better able to support our community into the future.

On May 5, 2020, people all around the world are coming together to tap into the power of human connection and strengthen communities at the grassroots level. Will you be one of them?

We will be one of the participating organizations and we need your help!

By joining the #GivingTuesdayNow movement, you’re proving that in times of uncertainty, generosity can bring the whole world together.

Ways to show your support

1. GIVE

On May 5, donate. Your donation will be used to develop and deliver online educational content that helps reduce the risk of MSK and sport injuries.

Content such as virtual events with experts; educational videos; new injury prevention programs targeting common activities in the Bow Valley such as climbing, soccer and basketball; and digital rehabilitation programs. All free!

Think about it… wouldn’t it be amazing to access a world-renowned Orthopaedic Surgeon or Sport Medicine Physician from the comfort of your living room and ask them anything? We think so!
