This course is designed for physicians, medical residents, physiotherapists, athletic therapists, exercise physiologists, and medical and allied health students wanting to improve their skills and knowledge of the assessment and management of acute knee injuries.
Course Description
This course will provide an in-depth review of the clinical assessment and diagnosis of acute knee injuries, including ACL injury, patellar instability, and meniscal pathology. Participants will engage in interactive, case-based discussions that incorporate current research and evidence-based practices. Small-group, hands-on learning sessions will allow participants to refine their physical examination skills.

Course Objectives
- Complete knee injury assessments using a systematic approach
- Understand the relationships between the history and physical examination in differential diagnosis.
- Improve skill and accuracy with special tests and assessment techniques
- Review the role of knee alignment and how it affects injury severity and management.
- Build confidence in decision-making around imaging, bracing, and surgical referrals.
Cost
- $550 – Healthcare professional
- $450 – Student (must provide proof of enrollment)
Cost includes nutrition breaks, lunches, a Saturday evening reception, and a copy of lecture materials.
Registration
Deadline: Nov 7th, 2025
Attendance at the course will be confirmed via email once payment is received (payment instructions provided in registration confirmation email).
Cancellations made in writing prior to the registration deadline will be refunded minus a $50 administration fee. After November 15th 2025, registration fees will only be refunded if the spot can be filled by another applicant.
